1. Pre-inspection:

2. Urine Detection:
   • We use ultraviolet (UV) lights and moisture sensors to detect urine spots that may not be visible to the naked eye.
3. Initial Extraction:
   • The first step is often to extract as much urine as possible from the carpet and underpad. This is initially done using a high-powered extraction machine.
4. Treatment with Enzymatic Solution:
   • Our bio-enzymatic solutions are specifically designed to break down and neutralise the proteins in pet urine. Our technicians apply the solution to the affected areas, allowing them to penetrate and break down the urine crystals and dried residue. Upon contact, the good bacteria in our solutions work immediately by producing enzymes that break down the organic matter that causes the stains and odours. 5. Hot Water Extraction:

6. Neutralisation:
   • After cleaning, Metro will use a pH-balancing solution to neutralise any remaining residues and ensure that the carpet returns to a neutral pH level.
7. Deodorisation:
   • Pet urine can often leave unpleasant lingering odours, even after treatment. In a lot of cases (depending on the extent of contamination), the odour can get worse before it gets better after initial treatment.  Our technicians will apply specialised deodorisers to neutralise and eliminate any lingering smells.
8. Drying:
   • Proper drying is crucial to prevent the growth of mould and mildew, so our professionals will install high-powered air mover carpet dryers to ensure the carpet and underpad are thoroughly dried.
9. Inspection and Spot Treatment:
   • After the cleaning process, an inspection of the carpet is undertaken to ensure that all urine stains and odours have been effectively removed. A bottle of our recommended  Bio-Bacterial stain and odour remover will be left with the client to continue to apply for a short time after the initial treatment. 10. Replacement of Underpad (if required):
    • In severe cases where the urine has saturated the underpad, Metro may recommend replacing the underpad to prevent lingering odours and potential long-term damage.
11. Sealing the Subfloor (if needed):
    • In extreme cases where urine has penetrated the subfloor, our technicians may recommend sealing the subfloor to prevent odours from reoccurring.
